Roof Coating – Seamless & Leak Free
Why you should protect your roof with roof coatings
Your roof protects you, so you should protect it with a spray foam or silicone roof coating. Prevent the issues that can cost thousands of dollars, intolerable working conditions, and an uncomfortable building. Roofing systems such as built-up roofing, elastomeric, metal roofs, weathered single-ply membranes, and mineral cap sheets, have many problems. From chalking, cracking, sagging, leaking (#1 problem), splitting, the list goes on.
All of these issues can create a perfect storm for your working conditions or your tenants. When a roof starts to sag, the water from the rain or snowmelt will pool in one spot, eventually wearing down the roofing material, and penetrating the surface and next thing you know that water is on your floor. When a roof has cracks in the tar or seams and holes from fasteners, it means air can escape through your roof, forcing your HVAC system to run twice as hard, costing you dumpsters full of money.

”in 1974 we tried a relatively new roofing system, the spray foam roof. The system performed just as we had hoped and, these roofs are still there and functioning. The ability to re-roof our buildings without a complete tear-off of the old roof is a significant benefit.

Silicone Roof Coating Composition
Original Roof
Standard roofing material with mechanical fasteners. Standard paints and other roofing types will break down from weather exposure over time, leading to sagging, holes, and ultimately leaks, ponding water and collapse.
Primer/Filler
GacoFlex E5320 2-Part Epoxy Primer/Filler. This layer will fill any microscopic holes.
Silicone Coating
GacoFlex S2000 White Solvent-Free 100% Silicone Coating. A seamless, waterproof, reflective coating that will withstand even the harshest UV exposure, and weather conditions.
Superior Protection
Weather conditions such as snow, wind, rain, and even the sun can destroy your roof. Our silicone roof coating solutions prevent your current roof, whatever the type, from succumbing to the harsh environment it’s exposed to day after day. Silicone roof coatings are remarkably versatile and have many applications.
What a silicone roof coating can do for you
An Energy Shield silicone roof coating will indefinitely withstand even the harshest weather conditions and UV rays. They will never break-down, crack, peel or chalk. Spray Foam Roofing Composition
Weather Protection
Weather-resistant silicone protects against temperature exrtremes and ultraviolet rays.
Granules
The granules increase fire resistance, traction and durability. They will also help to protect the coatings from hail and other damage.
Insulation Barrier
Energy-efficient polyurethane foam has an R-Factor of 6.8 per inch, and is water-proof.
What a spray foam solution will do
Energy Shield’s spray foam roofing fills the cracks, gaps, and seams in regular roofs caused by wear and tear from weather conditions. We create a seamless, insulated lightweight air barrier over your roof that’ll last a lifetime.
35% of your air loss is through the roof.
As air (cold or hot) enters the building, an equal amount is forced out, leading to air loss. Your HVAC system has to work twice as hard to keep the temperature stable. And up goes your energy bills.
Energy Shield’s spray foam roofing systems create a seamless air barrier and fill any holes and seams, we stop the air loss through the roof and wear & tear on your HVAC system. 35% of your air loss is through the roof, which means your energy bills are through the roof. Let’s put a stop to that.
Combining spray foam and silicone will double down on your energy savings, and offers superior protection in all weather conditions.
Huge cost savings – no tear offs
When you combine an Energy Shield silicone coated spray foam roof, you’ll never need to remove and rebuild your roof again. A tear-off can be costly, affect productivity, downtime, and tenants. You’ll be able to keep everything running, save on labor costs, and help to keep the landfills clear (and save money on disposal fees). And, your roof is no longer a liability.
We can apply it to virtually any roof
There are many different types of roofs, to list a few; elastomeric roof coatings, built-up roofing, metal roofs, mineral cap sheet, and weathered single-ply membranes. Our silicone coatings can be used over the top of those to stop leaks, renew and restore.
Why combine them?
Spray foam roofing has many benefits. It’s fluid applied, fills all holes, cracks, and seams. It’s self-flashing, which means it’s a single continuous roof coating over the entire surface. Its an insulator against the sun, and prevents conditioned air from leaving your building through the roof. It’s also waterproof, environmentally friendly, and has a wind uplift rating of zero (this is spectacular). Oh, and in case we forgot, it will permanently stop leaks.
Prevention & Insulation
Not only can it be used to prevent your roof from breaking down over time, but when we combine it with spray foam, we add a level of insulation that can save you lots of money through energy savings. 35% of your energy consumption comes from having a standard roofing material. After we apply the spray foam, we add our silicone roof coating, and not only do you have twice the protection, you also will see a drastic reduction in your energy bills.
Double the protection
Putting a seamless, weatherproof UV coating over the top of that may seem like overkill. But that silicone roof coating can withstand all weather conditions forever. You’re doubling down on your roof protection, investment, and your tremendous energy savings. We also perform commercial insulation services.
